It has been such a fantastic term in 4S. The children have taken part in so many different activities and behaved so well. This term, the children have been learning about 'Levers and Linkages' in Design and Technology, Ancient Greece in History and Electricity in Science.
All that is left to say is I hope that everybody has a wonderful Christmas break full of joy. Have a lovely rest everybody and see you all in 2023!
What an exciting Half-Term!
What a great start to the year it has been in 4S. In Maths, the children have been learning all about place value skills as well as addition and subtraction skills. In English, our focus has been on 'Writing to Entertain' and the children have focused on incoporating a variety of skills into their work such as expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials and subordinating conjunctions.
In Science, the children have been focussing on the question 'What do our bodies do with the food we eat?' They have been learning about the digestive system, the functions of teeth, the impact of different drinks on teeth and food chains. In History and Geography, we have focussed on Greece. The children have learnt about where Greece is in addition to it's climate, natural resources and it's physical and human features. Art has allowed us to focus on primary and secondary colours as well as a variety of painting techniques.
I have been so impressed with the children's behaviour. You have all been so wonderful and I hope that everybody has a lovely and restful half-term. Happy Half-Term everybody!
