At Broadmeadow Junior School, our high-quality Art and Design Curriculum enables pupils to explore a range of medias such as pencil, clay, paint and printing. Through Art and Design, we aim to engage, inspire and challenge pupils so that they are able to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, crafts and design. Children document their discovery of art and mastery of techniques in sketchbooks through drawing, painting, collage and print.

It provides children with tactile and sensory experiences, thus allowing them to become involved and inspired. Children research both traditional and contemporary artists which helps to develop an understanding of how Art and Design shapes our history and contributes to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
